We give you the opportunity to explore Lesvos at your own pace and convenience. Below you will find some of the most popular tours that the island has to offer. Tours/excursions can be adapted to your needs and preferences but you can always plan your own route with our help. We give you enough time to see all places, visit monuments, take pictures, buy souvenirs, have a refreshment and dine (optional). Discover south-east-north-mid Lesvos (day trip)

We drive from the city of Mytilene to visit the island's biggest castle and then we head on to Moria where you can see the beautiful Roman Aqueduct. We then drive along the east coast where you will see nice landscape, the blue Aegean Sea and the Turkish coastline. We stop at Mantamados where the Taxiarchis Monastery (Archangels Michael & Gabriel) is located, you can also see or buy pottery that is made in the village. After we head off to reach Skala Sikamineas which has a picturesque little fishing harbour and the church of Virgin Mary Gorgona (mermaid) on a rock along the sea front. Later we continue our journey and come to Molivos which is located on the north tip of the island. We visit a nice castle which stands on the highest point of Molivos and we also go to the small harbour where a refreshment and pictures can be taken. After that we go to Petra, which is a nice attraction to see. The church of Virgin Mary stands on a high rock and has 114 footsteps to the top. You can stroll along the seafront and also look at the small back streets of the village. Then we drive towards the middle of the island to come to Skala Kalloni which lays along the Gulf of Kalloni. There you will find a nice square (plateia). After that we drive along the salt plains, where you can see the flamingos and other type of bird life. We also pass nice nature scenery as we return back to the city of Mytilene.  

 

Discover north-west Lesvos (day trip)

We drive through the villages of Petra, Molivos, Anaxos and Skoutaros to reach the turtle pool just outside the village of Skalochori. In Skalochori you can see an old Turkish minaret. We continue our way via Vatousa to the mountain village of Antissa, where we can stop for a refreshment at the famous square (plateia). Later we go to Ypsilou Monastery which is located on a high mountain close to the village of Sigri, there you can see a breathtaking panorama of the west volcanic area. Then we head on to the Park of the Petrified Forest, you will have enough time to see the trees. After we go to the museum in Sigri, there you will find out how the geological, volcanic structure and the petrified forest of the west part of Lesvos became millions of years ago. We also visit a small castle in Sigri and then we return back. (A visit to the village of Skala Eressos is optional). 

Discover north-mid-south Lesvos (day trip)

We drive through the villages of Petra and Molivos towards the salt plains where you can see the flamingos and other type of bird life. We then follow our route along the Gulf of Kalloni and pass Achladeri, driving into the forest area of south Lesvos. We discover nice nature scenery as we pass the mountain villages of Ampeliko and Akrasi but also Melinda which lays along the beach, to end up in the village of Plomari. Here you can stroll along the main street, head into the backstreets to find little shops or you can visit the ouzo museum. After you have spent enough time in Plomari, we return back via the Gulf of Gera (breathtaking scenery).

Discover north-mid Lesvos (day trip)

We drive through the villages of Petra, Molivos, Anaxos, Skoutaros and Filia so we can reach the Limonos Monastery (Agios Ignatios), which is located close to the village of Kalloni. Later we pass the salt plains along the Gulf of Kalloni to come to the ancient site/ruins of Messa. After you have seen the ruins, we continue on to reach Agia Paraskevi where you can visit the olive press museum, look at some nice mansions and see the Kremasti bridge. We then continue our way through the village of Napi to reach Mantamados, which is known for the local pottery, traditional yoghurt, cheese and of course the Taxiarchis Monastery (Archangels Michael & Gabriel). After this we drive along the north coast where the Turkish coastline is visible and we reach the picturesque fishing village of Skala Sikamineas. Once you have finished your stroll around, we head for Molivos and return back. 


Discover north-mid-mid south Lesvos (day trip)

We drive through the villages of Petra and Molivos towards the salt plains where you can see the flamingos and other type of bird life. We then follow our route along the Gulf of Kalloni and pass Achladeri driving into the forest area of south Lesvos. We discover nice nature scenery as we reach the traditional mountain village of Agiasos, which is known for the local pottery, woodcraft and herbs. You can stroll around the village and visit the famous church of Virgin Mary. After we continue our way to Karini, where you can see the hollow tree in which the local painter Theofilos had lived in. We then follow the road to reach the ancient site/ruins of Messa, near the salt plains. When you have seen the ancient ruins, we return back. 

Discover north Lesvos (mini trip)

We drive through the villages of Molivos and Petra to reach Petri, where you can see a breathtaking view of Petra and the surrounding region. We then follow the route through the mountain villages of Stipsi, Ypsilometopo, Pelopi (Pelopi is where the family roots of the former American President Candidate Michael Dukakis are from) and Kapi reaching Mantamados, which is known for the local pottery, traditional yoghurt, cheese and of course the Taxiarchis Monastery (Archangels Michael & Gabriel). Later we continue on towards the north coast where the Turkish coastline is visible, to reach the picturesque fishing village of Skala Sikamineas. After your stroll around, we head for Molivos and return back.

Walking/Bird Watching/Nature/Photography

Lesvos is a real paradise for walkers, bird watchers, nature/orchid/butterfly lovers and photographers. The island has great scenery for photography such as pretty nature, wild dry landscape, many bays, monuments, churches and monasteries, breathtaking panorama, etc. We can drive you to any place of your choice and bring you back to your accommodation again at a prearranged time.
